Our Commitment To Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. You may register on catchride using a username and a password of your choosing. These can be random and have no bearing to your real life, but a valid e-mail address must be employed to use the CR service. This means we have a valid e-mail address of yours on file. We have several layers of encryption and do not sell or disperse the list among people that would use it for profit. It stays locked inside our server forever, save for the once a few year e-mail from the administrator (which you can opt-out of getting in your control panel)
The Information We Collect
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on any of the Catchride.com websites. Catchride consists of forums. You may divulge personal information in your posts. We do not have control over who views the posts, for the most part, so it is best to leave out the following information from posts made to our forum:
Name
Address
Email address
Phone number
Credit/Debit Card Information
The Way We Use Information
We do not use this information except to communicate with the user and help solve problems or announce important changes every few years.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
You can register with our website if you would like to receive user our services as well as updates on our new products and services. Information you submit on our website will not be used for this purpose unless you fill out the registration form.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses. This includes administrator e-mail and e-mails from members. You can change all this by logging into your control panel. Also, some have chosen to link their CR accounts to the Facbook and/or twitter accounts. This information is saved, though it is encrypted too, I believe.
Our Commitment to Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. The administrators cannot see your password even. If you forget your password, an administrator has to put in a new password. We are very safe in this regard.
Our Commitment to Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13. There are COPPA forms that a parent can fill out and fax or scan and e-mail back permitting their underage child to view Catchride, but the forum is extremely adult oriented, and is completely inappropriate for children under the age of 13. I am more likely to call
Nancy Grace
and tell on you than to allow your 12 year old in the Truth or Dare / Immatureforum!
